Here is what our Public Relations Officer feels about things.

Warinder Dhillon

I am the public relations officer for UKCEC, I want to first state that I want UKCEC to go down in history as a organization that started with nothing.

This web site was designed using Tripod by Lycos, which is a free to build site also I used library and public computers to fill the words for this site.

At no point did I use my home computer, bearing in mind it’s free to join a library and to use their computers. This proves my point that anyone can succeed.

Also on the right you will find links to totally free software that can be used to run a organization, you may need to register with them.

The following articles are my views on current events in relation to abuse and exploitation of everyone both in this country and abroad.

Exploitation in the west

Exploitation can take many forms. Here are some that exist in the UK.

Women - and some men - with drug, alcohol and/or debt problems are paid to marry strangers from abroad so they can stay in this country.

I have encountered this several times throughout my life. In some ways I do not necessarily hold it against them. It’s the way society sees the situation that I really oppose, in that they see people with the above problems as if its their own fault, however it’s an established fact that many with these problems have got underlying problems.

Also there is the disturbing truth about how east European women are sexually abused by people who know they are desperate for work in this country.

I say this as I do not see exploitation as a problem only facing the developing world. People don’t stop exploiting just because this is the United Kingdom.

Abuse of the elderly in the UK

On 14/08/07 while I was out shopping I noticed an article in one of the newspapers about the way the elderly are treated in care homes and hospitals.

Also this was discovered by a powerful committee of MP’s (Members of Parliament in the UK) also one lives here in the west midlands.

What you will see in this article which was further published by the BBC is the way people see the elderly in their care as lazy and dirty.

Never questioning why they are the way they are, the answer to that is in fact, the lack of care they receive in the first place.

I have been saying for years that the treatment of those in care regardless of age, sex or anything needs greater scrutiny.

Yet it has taken all this time for the powers to be to see this, I am hoping that this committee now takes appropriate action.
